By default openvpn-ctl starts without any arguments and seats in the system tray. It is possible to use different icons if some VPNs are connected and when there are no connections.

When tray icon is clicked, menu appears. Each item in this menu is name of configured vpn. It has checkbox on the left, which shows desired state of the VPN (on if checked) and on the right actual state as reported by state management command is shown.

Left click on menu changes desired status.

Right click on menu shows menu with options:

It OpenVPN daemon requests password, string or confirmation, appropriate dialog is displayed

If openvpn state changes, notice is posted with message VPN name (connected/disconnected).
